Kelly and I both graduated from the UW in '94 with Mech Engr
degrees. I am a P-3 pilot attached to Patrol Squadron ONE at
NAS Whidbey Island. Kelly, on the other hand, would like to

aerospace industry, but more recently has worked as a
programming consultant. Her experience has focussed primarily

We are importing hand-made, hand-painted ceramic kitchenware
from North Africa and wholesaling to Northwest retailers. It's
high quality, colorful and quite a bit different from most

customer and one of our pieces might soon be featured on a high-

WIZARDS OF THE COAST - Senior Promotions Manager
I work for a game company in Renton called Wizards of the Coast,
Inc. We make the world famous trading card game Magic: The
Gathering. We publish Dungeons and Dragons and many other role
playing games, trading card games, and board games. The latest
addition to our roster is the Pokémon Trading Card Game,
manufactured under license for Nintendo.
We own and operate six game stores around the Puget Sound area,
including the Wizards of the Coast Game Center in the University
District. We plan to expand our games stores outside of the
Seattle area in 1999.
I manage the promotions group where we handle everything from in-
store merchandising to consumer contests to web promotions. If

Graduated from UW-Madison in 1973 with a BS degree in Food Microbiology. I have
worked in the food manufacturing and distribution business for over 25 years.
Just last year, my latent entrepreneurial spirit got the best of me and I
started a sole proprietor, home based business called, Feelgood Products.
I make natural fill relaxation products such as, buckwheat hull pillows,
both unscented and scented with relaxation and sleep-inducing herbal blends.
I also sell flaxseed filled bodywraps and eye pillows also without or with
therapeutic herbal blends that relieve bodyaches, and in the case of
eyepillows, headaches, stress and sinus congestion. The flaxseed has
about 10% moisture, so when microwaved or frozen, the various products
deliver about 30-45 minutes of thermal therapy, aromatherapy, and
acupressure (the bodywraps weigh 3 lbs. and the eye pillow weigh 1 lb.
All my products have removable, washable, velcro closure covers. Rain
City Badger, Claudia Pogreba has one of my sinus eye pillows and loves it!

I lived in Seattle (Queen Anne, specifically) last year to get
my Master's degree in technical communication at the U of
Washington. After graduation, I moved back to Madison, but now
I'm thinking of moving back to Seattle. (Can't seem to make up
my mind!)
Would any of you be able to tell me the salary range of
technical writers in Seattle for those with Master's degrees
and ~2 years of experience? My main points of interest are tech
writing (including science writing and documentation) and
